FOOD IN A NEW WORLD
If you’re still living in 2004 thinking being vegan is ridiculous, unappetizing and not worth the trouble it’s time you joined us in 2016 because Bowl Bar is changing the way people look at veganism and we’re going to tell you all about it.
At Bowl Bar a typical meal may look like this: Plump Chia seeds, served in a rich coconut cream with a drizzle of agave nectar and topped with a choice of pomegranate or Banana. Carefully crushed Almonds, chia seeds mixed with deliciously sinful sweet dates made to form coconut coated balls of bliss. For when you’re thirsty, tall glass of cold frothy almond milk. Don’t let these pretty looking dishes fool you, each of them are filled with fibre and fibre gives you a lot of energy to take on your day.
How it all started
The idea for Bowl Bar all started with an instagram account. The food was colourful, fun and ridiculously healthy so it was no wonder it got the attention of hundreds in the city.Soon questions about the ingredients, recipes and where to get these dishes started flooding the account. What started out as one instagram account gave way to a blog, the blog inspired the “dabba service” (which delivers in Mumbai) and now they’re all set to open up their first fun, fresh, vegan restaurant in Bandra, Mumbai.
What does Bowl Bar have in store?
Bollywood has embraced the fun, healthy, colourful food Bowl Bar serves with open arms. They’ve got the likes of Katrina Kaif, Malaika Arora Khan, Deanne Panday, Lisa Ray, Jacqueline Fernandez and many more as some of their regular customers. They even exclusively catered Anita Dongre’s launch of her sustainable line, Grassroots.
The future for Bowl Bar seems as bright and colourful as their food. Once their cafe is up and running, they plan to further extend their “dabba service” and even have plans of expanding to Delhi and Bangalore in the future.
